i feel unhealtry anf over weight. can you helo me plan out a diet?

The right way to lose weight is to eat healthy and exercise. As for eating healthy you should try to defiantly avoid white flour products, such as WHITE bread, pasta, rice, etc, they make you gain weight. Instead, try replacing them with whole grains. This small change makes a huge difference. As for exercise, check out Leslie Sansone walking DVD’s. All you need is a DVD player, and a room to walk in! I am 15 now, but when I was around 12-13, I needed to lose weight. These walking videos really work!!! You can start out with a lower amount, and gradually increase to how many miles you feel comfortable with. Leslie’s videos are also very easy on your body; no high impact jumping around. I lost 50 lbs. doing these tapes, and have kept it off for almost 4 years. I used to be close to your current weight at my highest. Also, make sure to get music that you like, to work out to. I’ve found that music really helps me to stay motivated. Now, I LOVE working out, and I think it is fun. Also, please give it time. I am positive that if you eat healthy, and WALK, you for sure will reach your goals!

The best way and only way to lose weight in a healthy manner is to create a deficit in how many calories you take in and how many you burn. Try the “power of 500 method”…eat 200 calories less per day and burn off 300 with a cardiovascular workout. This way, you’ll lose a pound a week. After you get used to that, try burning more/eating a little less to a point where you feel comfortable. Don’t cut out all the carbs from your diet, the enzyme that burns fat in your body is made from carbohydrates! Try eating complex carbohydrates (like fruits) instead of things like pastas and white breads. Also, foods with plenty of fiber give you a full sensation, to try including those in your meals. As for workouts, the ACSM suggests 30-60 minutes of cardio 5 times a week where you elevate your heart rate for weight loss purposes. Try different methods to see what you like. Power walking, jogging, running, exercise videos, elliptical, biking, are all great fat-burning exercises. Weight training is also hepful because the more muscle mass you have, the faster your metabolism (i.e. the more caloires you body burns at rest!) Good luck!
